I am a small animal veterinarian, with a special appreciation for cats. I met Penny 5-6 years ago through a local feline shelter working with our veterinary group. Penny also connected me with a family needing to re-home a horse and now he is the LOVE of my life. Penny is one of the most dedicated feline caregivers I have known; she will work to treat just about any condition in her pets, and has the special ability to be patient with the unique social and biological nature of the cat. Penny's experience makes her a valuable resource for our precious feline friends!
I have known Penny nearly as long as I have been in Oregon, since 2006. We met while working for local humane groups, specifically those supporting homeless felines in the Salem-Keizer areas. Penny is an outstanding, hardworking woman and possibly the best friend a feline can have. I've seen her put in selfless numbers of hours cleaning, treating and playing with the cats in her care. She is uniquely qualified to provide both pet-sitting and nursing care for your cats; which is a huge benefit since more than half of boarding felines require some type of medical treatment. Penny knows cats; their temperament, behavior, habits and the special needs which make them cats. Rest assured Penny will go to the 9th degree for your cat - ALWAYS.
Penny took such good care of my cat, Harley! He had a terrible abscess. Penny called the vet when she had a question, gave him warm compresses, and let him run around a bit because he was so friendly. She really cares about her animals and it definitely shows. I will be calling Penny whenever I need someone to watch Harley or any other cat I may get. Thank you Penny, you made what was a stressful situation easier!
